Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data DealQuanta collects and how we use it. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Data controller. The controller responsible for your data is Dr. Michael Niestroj, Otto-Boll-Str. 12, 79576 Weil am Rhein, Germany — support@dealquanta.com. DealQuanta is operated from Germany, so this policy follows the EU GDPR regardless of where you are located.

What we collect. Account information (name, email, hashed password), the deal data you choose to save, and basic technical/usage logs. We do not sell your data.

Sub-processors. We share the minimum data needed with a small number of trusted providers: Polar (payments & Merchant of Record — it processes your payment and billing details; we never see or store your full card number), and Brevo (delivery of support and account emails). Some of these providers may process data in the United States under appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses / the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). Our application and database are hosted on servers located in the EU.

Free calculator emails. If you ask the free calculator to email you an analysis, we store the email address you enter, the deal figures you typed, and the time you ticked the consent box. We use it only to send you that analysis and, if you opted in, occasional deal-analysis tips — never to sell or share for advertising. Every such email includes a one-click unsubscribe link (and you can reply to opt out); we deliver these through Brevo, our email sub-processor. Unsubscribing stops future emails and does not affect any DealQuanta account you may have.

Monthly pipeline summary.If you have an active or trial subscription and at least one saved deal, we send you a short monthly email summarising your own pipeline — deal counts by status, your owned-deal totals, and any deals sitting untouched in “Analyzing”. It contains only figures computed from deals you saved; no market data and no advice. Every such email has a one-click link to turn it off, and we deliver it through Brevo, our email sub-processor. Turning it off does not affect billing, receipts or other account emails.

Cancellation feedback. If you start to cancel your subscription and tell us why, we store the reason you selected and any optional note you add, linked to your account. We use it only to understand why people leave and to improve the Service — never to prevent or delay your cancellation, which always stays one click away. This feedback is deleted along with everything else if you delete your account.

How we use data. To provide and improve the Service, authenticate you, process subscriptions, and respond to support requests. Our legal basis is the performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Cookies. We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and secure your session. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Usage measurement.To understand how the free calculator, signup and checkout flow perform, we keep a small first-party counter of anonymous events (for example “a calculator result was viewed” or “a checkout was started”). These counters are aggregate and cookieless: they record no name, email, IP address, device or session identifier, and cannot be tied back to you. We use no third-party or cross-site analytics.

Your rights. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can access, correct or delete your account data at any time from your account page, or by contacting us; deleting your account removes your saved deals. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority — for us that is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Baden-Württemberg.

Data location & retention. Data is stored on servers in the EU. We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
